Outcomes of the Polish EU Council Presidency: EU energy policy for the future?

The Green European Foundation is organising with support of the Warsaw office of the Heinrich Boell Stiftung and the Zielony Instytut a conference discussing the measures taken in the area of EU energy policy during the Polish Presidency of the EU Council.

EVENT: Conference

TIME: 15 December 2011, 17.00 - 20.15

PLACE: Conference Centre Zielna, Zielna Street 37, Warsaw.

The conference will attempt to explore and evaluate the energy policy priorities pursued during Poland’s EU Presidency and their impact on the long-term EU energy policy. A key question addressed will concern the sustainability of the energy policies pursued.

As well as looking back at the Presidency’s ambition to focus on the external dimension of EU energy policy, the conference will present a first analysis of the forthcoming “EU Energy Roadmap 2050” and its ambitions towards a transition to a 100% renewable energy system for Europe.
