European Green Party Congress discusses Green New Deal

The European Greens are arranging  a congress meeting November in Paris that will bring together over 1000 Green delegates from around Europe. Among the main topics up for discussion are the social dimension of the Green New Deal, as well as the review of the Common Agricultural Policy from a Green perspective.

EVENT: European Green Party Congress

DATE: 11 - 13 November 2011

PLACE: La Maison de la Mutualité, 24 Rue Saint-Victor, 75005 Paris

With France warming-up for next year's Presidential and parliamentary elections, the location of the congress was an easy pick for the European Greens. The congress is co-hosted by the European Green Party and Europe Ecologie–Les Verts, the French Green Party.

The congress constitutes a great opportunity to meet fellow Greens from around Europe, and from further afield. The congress venue will be the famous Maison de la Mutualité in the very heart of Paris (5eme arrondissement). Over the past century, the building has traditionally been at the heart of the French Left. With a total refurbishment this year, the Congress will be one of the first events taking place there—a good start for a new tradition in the long history of the building.
